African Candle Holder

This is a unique Pair of African Vintage Etched Ebony Male and Female Candle Holder Carvings from the Makonde Tribe of Tanzania. Ebony is an exceptionally hard and dense black beautiful wood found in East Africa. The Makonde tribe in Tanzania (East Africa) uses this wood to make carvings, known as “Makonde carvings”. Their artistic output is both traditional and contemporary, and functional. When finished, the carvings are polished and the wood quite literally shines. This set of Candle Sticks would be wonderful to add to your collection or to give as a gift.
