Mcm Vintage Cast Iron Owl Japanese Candle Holder

Up for bid is a vintage Owl shaped Cast Iron lantern. This was made in Japan. It has the ‘ring’ at the top so it can hang from a sturdy hook or it is freestanding. The base is removable so a candle can be inserted in the bottom. This Owl lantern has been in my family since the early 1960’s. It shows signs of age and wear and being exposed to the weather. My family is downsizing some their possessions and are hoping this beloved owl cast iron lantern will find a wonderful new home.
It measures 19.5” in height and 5,5” at the widest point. It weighs over 5.5 lbs in weight. The owl details are great. Look closely at the photos and you can see the ‘feathering’.
