This set is BRAND NEW IN BOX, MINT — as received from the manufacturer. It was NEVER USED OR DISPLAYED (NEVER REMOVED FROM HERMES BOX TIL PHOTOS WERE TAKEN FOR THIS LISTING). It’s an authentic Hermes. One of us at The Sweet Find is the original owner and got it directly from Hermes shortly after it was released, many years ago. NOTE: Because it’s been stored in the box for years (where the candle lays on its side in the box), the candle separated a little from one side of the votive candle holder. However, once you burn the candle, the wax will spread and that side will reattach. Or you may be able to use a metal spoon to spread it to the surface. In addition, we’ve never used a candle that has been sitting around for over a decade. It should work fine but we’re uncertain. The candle holder is reusable and the candle can be replaced.

Because these items are pre-owned, they are sold as is. We carefully wipe down all items but leave the fine cleaning to you. Though for crystal and other glassware, we typically fully clean (using a professional crystal glassware solution) then dry and buff with a lint-free microfiber cloth). We do not service or test any items for functionality unless otherwise stated. Items that are not intended for collectible use should be inspected and/or serviced by a professional prior to use. There may be imperfections or inconsistencies from age or production. We carefully examine and detail each item and try to take photos as clear as possible, pointing out any flaws we notice, showing them in our photos.
We are not appraisers or experts on anything we sell, but we do gather as much info as we can from the original seller then spend many hours researching information to identify items, learn information, and provide the most honest, accurate details we can. However, we cannot guarantee accuracy and may make an honest mistake such as incorrectly identifying the brand, style name, time period, MSRP, etc. Our idea of excellent, good, fair, etc. may differ from yours. You are purchasing or bidding with these things in mind. We determine fair pricing primarily based on the amount we paid for the inventory (since we typically buy online, we pay more), packing expenses, and selling fees. We also factor brand/designer, item type, age, condition, rarity, current market supply & demand, retail prices, sold prices on multiple auction and marketplace sites, and list prices on professional auctioneer sites. In some cases, we may also get the item appraised.
We also have to factor in the seller fees on each platform. Our item prices (and shipping) VASTLY DIFFER on each platform based on their fees, which range from 5% of the total price on one social media marketplace site, up to 20% on another site (Pricetronic charges 12.9% of the total sale price including tax/shipping, in addition to advertisement fees [2-10%] of total sale], auction fees; and, unlike other sites that include insurance, Pricetronic sellers are responsible for purchasing insurance, which is added to the shipping costs).
This is why you may have noticed that our prices across platforms vary (e.g., an item listed in one place could be $110 + $13.50 shipping; here it could be $150 + $25 shipping; and in another place it could be $175 + $7.95 shipping).
Unlike many, we don’t pad our shipping fees. Instead, we charge you at cost for shipping (including the shipping label and fees such as insurance).
We buy an abundance of packing supplies and pack exceptionally well — on average, spending 1 to 2 HOURS packing a single fragile item! Our listing, communication, and packing time is minimally built into the item price, NOT the shipping price.
💳 PAYMENT
We accept payment via Pricetronic. You may use your PayPal account, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, or any other options Pricetronic provides during checkout. You may be able to save on shipping costs when purchasing multiple items from our shop (please contact us BEFORE checking out so we can confirm and create a combined order just for you).
Payment is due within 48 hours of placing your order or winning an auction. If payment has not been received within 2 days, an automated late-payer report will be submitted to Pricetronic; and we reserve the right to cancel the transaction at any point leading up to the 48 hour mark. If you expect a delay in submitting payment, please contact us with notice so we can pause the reporting process and hold off on the order cancellation.

All packages are shipped with FULL insurance via USPS (though, we may also use UPS, FedEx, or DHL on occasion). For orders with a selling price exceeding approximately $200 - $250, we may require signature upon delivery (if so, this will be stated at the top of this page). Orders are shipped within 3 business days after receiving your payment (except holidays). If you need for us to ship ASAP, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. Pricetronic will notify you once your package has shipped (with the tracking number) and again, once delivered. We may check in after delivery to make sure you are satisfied.
If you are ordering a large item or combined order, and have a P.O. BOX listed as your delivery address, please make sure larger packages can be delivered. In most cases, this isn’t a problem but to be safe, we recommend entering a physical shipping address at the time of checkout.

- Are seeds, pits, bubbles, mineral/carbon flecks, etc. in pottery considered flaws?
No. These elements can form during the crafting process. They’re typically tiny; the size of a pinpoint. They do not affect the quality of the pottery piece.
- Are fine lines, swirls, and other anomalies in metalworks considered flaws?
No. These elements can form during the crafting or manufacturing process, especially with stainless steel and silver plating. They’re typically very fine and hard to notice. They do not affect the quality of the piece.
- Is every piece within the same pattern exactly the same?
No, especially when it’s handcrafted, no two pieces are ever exactly alike, and slight variations can naturally occur (e.g., size and thickness of the item, size of features, pattern design, cuts, foot). This may occur with any pottery, glassware, or metalworks regardless of whether or not it was handcrafted. However, it’s typically unnoticeable. Though, for some patterns, manufacturers may also update their style while leaving the same name.
- Is a cord or line in glassware considered a flaw?
No. This nearly invisible difference in the density of the glassware occurs during the fusing of molten glass. It may also occur during other glass-making techniques. Although visible when it reflects light, the cord is virtually invisible when drinkware or a vase is filled with liquids. This does not affect the quality of the crystal piece, and professional glassmakers do no consider these flaws, but rather a unique characteristic of a handcrafted work of art.
- Is a seed or bubble in glassware considered a flaw?
No. Tiny bubbles the size of a pin point sometimes form during the fusing, melting, or blowing process. This does not affect the quality of the glassware piece, and professional glassmakers do no consider these as flaws, but rather a unique characteristic of a handcrafted work of art.
- Can you store or display crystal in direct sunlight?
No, do not store or display crystal in direct sunlight. Crystal glassware can focus sunlight into a concentrated beam that could potentially scorch rugs, curtains, or furniture.
- How do you clean, prevent water spots, and store fine crystal glassware?
Always wash by hand. Never use an automatic dishwasher, abrasive detergent, or coarse sponge, as they can cause the crystal to lose its brilliance, including clouding. Use a mixture of moderately hot water and ammonia or white vinegar with a mild lemon detergent, along with a wet microfiber cloth. IMMEDIATELY dry and buff using a lint-free microfiber cloth. (While it’s not necessary, we use quality microfiber cloths specifically made for crystal glassware and we love them; message us for a recommendation.) To clean residue from narrow vases and decanters, fill halfway with moderately hot water, a small drop of mild detergent, 2 tablespoons white vinegar or ammonia, and 1/2 cup uncooked rice. Swirl the solution around for a few minutes. Rinse well with warm water, hand-dry as much as you can reach, then let the rest air dry. You may also buy a bendable foam decanter brush or stainless steel decanter beads for tough residue. Store upright in your cabinet; never stack crystal glassware.
- How do you safely remove wax from crystal candle holders after use?
Do not use water to remove the wax. Instead, you may want to try placing your candle holders in the freezer for 10 minutes. We haven’t tried it yet but have seen crystal manufacturers and collectors say the wax will harden and become easy to peel off. Use your own judgement to decide if you want to try this.

We suggest you also take photos of the sealed package BEFORE OPENING, and the contents inside the package BEFORE UNWRAPPING/REMOVING. In the unlikely event that an item was damaged during shipping, our combined sets of photos may increase the chance of your insurance claim moving along swiftly and favorably.
If an item arrives damaged, you will need to keep all original shipping materials. You can file a claim at USPS.com. You may be required to take the damaged item, shipping box, packing material, printed Pricetronic receipt, and printed PayPal receipt, to your local Post Office. We are happy to help walk you through the process and remain in contact with you throughout the process. We can also email you any photos, paperwork, or receipts we have.
