Antique Brass Hanging Candle Holder Candelabra Chandelier Late 1800's Sausalito CA Offered is a lovely antique handmade church sanctuary candle holder candelabra chandelier from the late 1800s. It originated from Sausalito California, and was probably used until gas lighting was made available in the early 1900s. The overall form is a crown shape. Each section was made using a different technique. It has an ornate filigree 16 inch diameter center ring, holding a dozen evenly spaced candle holders. There are 6 center arched arms holding another ring with ornate repousse brass finials. The arms also connect 6 ornate center cast scroll forms to a small top ring and post. These scrolls need some repair. They have had soldered repairs in the past. Or, they can be replaced with chains, which is typical of this style of candelabra. I have used this piece both as a hanging fixture, but also as a table centerpiece. Without the top scrolls and holding a dozen candles it is spectacular. Especially with flowers and greenery added. Please enlarge and view photos carefully as they are part of the description. The chandelier will be shipped disassembled. Thank you for looking.
