Description:
Here is a beautiful piece that I picked up at an estate sale. It is a
bedroom candle & matchbox holder and based on the decoration
style was probably made in Prussia in the late 1800s. It features a
Castle's Court Chamberlain carrying a goblet to his master which is
used to hold the candle. The decorations are great and you can even
see that he is wearing his Keys of Office. The matchbox holder that
also doubles as the handle to carry it from room to room, has a
monogram on it but I've been unable to identify it. The piece is in
great shape for its age with all the marks and patina that we expect
to see on a piece of this era. Please check out all my photos to
judge the color and condition for yourself. The piece measures around
6 1/2” tall X 5 1/2” long X 4” wideKeep
Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer. I travel all
around New Hampshire, Vermont, and Northern Massachusetts scouting out
places for hidden gems. I have a good eye for what people want and there
are plenty of places for me to ferret out antiques and collectible from
yesterday and a few gems that will become the antiques of tomorrow.I
try to take detailed pictures of my items but cannot capture every
detail. I am not a collector of these items. I often get pieces in box
lots with items I do collect and then sell off the other treasures I
find to those who will surely appreciate them. All sales are final and
"as is, as seen" unless you receive an item that was not in the pictures
in this listing.Shipping:
I take great care in wrapping fragile items and have enjoyed great
success. I will only ship items under 4lbs. overseas as they can go by
First Class Mail as the USPS has discontinued Overseas Parcel Post.I have been selling on eBay for
over a decade and try to be fair in all deals. I use this user ID to buy
and sell hobby collectibles only because I find it an enjoyable
pastime. Track Page Views With Auctiva's Counter
